All of my life I have lived in Bogota, Colombia. Actually I live in a big and green house with my mom who works in the airport, and she is the most important person in my life. Also I live with my grandma. She is a housewife and in my house she is the boss because she organized all the things of my home. Likewise I live with my sister. She works in the airport too and she has a daughter names Natalia. She is 8 years old and studies in primary school. I really love her. Finally I live with my uncle who is upholsterer.
In my life I have had a lot of good experiences, but the best experience of my life was my least year of school because I proposed building a small casino, in a big space of my school for my senior project. That was a success in my school because different schools of my city and big quantities of parents came for watch the project. It was grateful for me because I learned a lot about the games probability.
When I was a child I studied in Nuestra Senora Del Pilar School. I studied there most of my life. Before that I started to study English and Portuguese in a language institute of the Distrial University, one semester before I started to study my career (finances and bank) in the Panamericana University. Now I pass the fifth semester and I took a short course of baby sister. I already finished studying Portuguese last semester, and I took a short course of baby sister.
In my free time I like to do different things like to go the cinema. I go to watch racing. Equally I like to go to amusement parks. I go to different restaurants with my friends. Also I absolutely love practicing funny activities like riding horses, swimming, walks and bonfire in the forest. And the most important that I like is spending time with my family and going shopping, making dinner together and similar things.
My work experience with children has been with parents who are friends of my family. Nowadays I have cared 5 children in different days and hours in the week: Mondays and Wednesdays in the afternoon after school I have cared for Sebastian (11 years old) and his little brother Santiago (8 years old). Likewise I have cared to Samuel ( 4 years old) and his brother Jeronimo (1 year and a half) Although I only care them when their parents need me. And the last one is Nicole, (8 years old). I have cared for her Fridays in the night because sometimes her mom has to go out. It is important to note that I take care all days my nephew Natalia. My cousin Sarita. She is the same age as Nata. My other cousin Daniel is 7 years old and the brother of Sarita. That is my cousin too. David Santiago he is the oldest. He is 13 years old.
I want to be an Au-Pair because I wish experienced the daily living in your country and I would be part of your family. Also I want to improve my language skills ad know all places of tourism and historic importance of your country.

My father died when I was eight years old, he was a military for the Colombian army.
Since I was very young I’ve been taking care of children and helping them with homeworks. It’s easy for me because I love teaching and I consider myself very good at explaining, I also love little children, I worked short time as a teacher assistant in a kindergarten taking care of two and three years old kids feeding them and teaching them to put on their clothes and prepare for going to take a nap. As a Au Pair, I want to be part of an American family and provide confidence and security to parents.
I want your kids see me as a older sister and I want to gain their affection and trust.
I like doing different activities with children such as drawing and painting, play in the park, play in the house, sing and dance, manual tasks or just sharing watch TV.
I like having routine with children because it creates stability. I took care of Joel and Jordy after school so first they should eat a lunch, after they should take a nap if they want, after that we are ready to star doing homework, Joel and Jordy are very active so we finished quickly, finally we enlisted the things for next day, after children can play or watch TV, sometimes we go to the park.
Nikol is the younger sister of Joel and Jordy, she was 3 years old when I took care of her so we could go out to the mall.
Caring for children means more work lout I like more because they are easier to entertain an teach.
I consider myself very patient with children because when they make me a tantrum I never lose my cool, I talk to them, give water and asked them what they want.
I want to be an Au Pair because I have everything to be, and most importantly the willingness and courage to learn what’s expected of my host family.
Diana Patricia Angulo Rojas.
