Letter to Host Family
Dear Family:
My name is Wijittra Huajai, nickname is Kwan. I was born on September 27, 1987. I am 24 years old. I was born in Chonburi, th e province is in Easter part of Thailand. There are many places, Pattaya is the most well-known. And we have “Wing-Kuay” tradition or Buffalo racing. It is the local traditional to made all farmers and buffaloes relax.
In additional we have “Wan Lan”, it started after Song-kran day with many activities such as to pay respect and give food to monks, to sculpt the sand and decorate with flowers. So I have been living in Chonburi with my family since I was born. My family has 6 members, grandfather, grand mother, father, mother, aunt and me.
I completed a bachelor’s degree of Liberal Arts from Eastern Asia University in the faculty of Tourism management. After graduated I worked as manufacturing staff for 1 year. Then I worked as CS-Import in an International Logistics division at Sankyu Laemchabang (Thailand) Co. Ltd. At the present I am a freelance assistant tourist guide and a freelance baby sitter together.
When I decided to join the Au Pair program, I applied for an assistant teacher at Baby Genius, a school of play group program for children aged 6 months to 6 years. I was responsible for aged 2-3 years. The program aim to provide children with fun and educational introduction to alphabets, phonics, words, shapes, colors, numbers and movements through nursery rhymes, sing along action songs, Good morning song and Hello song, and said hello to everyone. Practicing them how to dance, since doing arts, clean their own hands. There are many children in the class, and they are so cute.
In additional, I used to be a baby-sitter of Sean, 2 years old and 2 months, during 23 June-20 July from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. He is Thai-New Zealander. He was shy at first time we met, but not over than 2 hours we were play and laugh together. He loved to play with “play-doh” and pain on everything he wanted such as paper, dolls, stone, and etc.
I believe being an Au Pair in the United States for a year will improve my English skills. My plan after this program is to be work in an airlines business or by my own business. Thank you very much for kindly reading my profile and I hope that my qualifications mentioned above would match your interest. It would be glad if I will be part of your family.
