Letter to Host Family
Dear Host family,
My name is Flavia and I am 21 years old. I was born in Maringa a city in Parana State. I lived all my life here. I’m graduating in chemistry at UEM The State University of Maringa. I live with my parents and I haven’t got any brothers or sisters. My father works at a water filters industry and my mother is a businesswoman. She has a coffee shop in a mall. Always, I can help her, waiting on people, washing dishes making juices and paying the bills.I’m a member of Foursquare Gospel Church. I participate of the ministry if youths, kids and I am the leader of the dancing group. There are 10 girls.I have many friends and like to be with a lot of people most of the time. But I also like time for myself to think about decisions, to pray, read. I like to make people smile. I don’t like “discos” I prefer to go out and eat, talk, watch movies and listen to music. I like to use the computer and the internet to talk to my friends.I played soccer at high school and in the University but nowadays I just go to work and the gym.I like children very much, because they are sincere, love truly and they are very funny. I get very happy when I teach something to them, because they are starting to explore a new word, full of challenges and it’s amazing being able to help themDuring my internship at the school, I have been getting the opportunity to live with lids of all ages and learn how to take care of them. Because they show different wishes and thoughts, according to their personalities. Nevertheless, they have something in common, their sincerity and the manner how they have to tell the truth. There I play soccer with the boys and play dolls with them the girls. I take all of them to the playground and help them with activities. They have been joyful days. With this trip to the USA, I intend to improve my English skills know different places new culture and people but above all to live with a family with whom I can learn new custom and also teach them about Brazil and my culture. Finally, I would like to thank you for this opportunity.
With love,
Flavia

Letter to Host Family
Dear host family,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Divya Mahrjan; I am 22 years old from Kathmandu, which is a beautiful part of Nepal I am glad to have the opportunity to express myself as an interested candidate in being an au pair. One line that best describes me is “Every morning I wake up and choose to live each moment to its fullest”I grew up in Kathmandu with my lovely family Kathmandu is a culturally divers and the capital of Himalayan Kingdom, a beautiful city located in the central part of Nepal. I am a friendly girl. I am a family girl. I have very sweet family; We are 4 members including me. My fathers works in British Embassy. My mother is a housewife who manage our house as well as she is a member of women society. From my mom I have learned how to love our younger and how to respect our elders. My brother as of right now in Kuwait working as a cook. When he was with us my brother and I loved to cook together. We spend lot of our spare time together, going on trips and doing other leisure activities. I am a family girl. They are my core support and inspiration. I believe a healthy environment is the most important aspect of a child’s upbringing. Imagination and confidence is the key to a persons success and those traits should be initiated and nurtured by ones family. I was raised by a very open minded and friendly family whose fundamentals encouraged freedom of expression, with an emphasis on respect. I was taught to follow my dreams but to do so responsibly as I hope to pass onto your children, Regarding my educational qualifications I have completed my bachelors degree with specialization in English because I simply love English literature and I want to get more knowledge about English and it’s history and culture. After finishing my higher secondary school I started my work as babysitter I have been an active babysitter for one year. I worked with two families first I had to look after the baby (g) she was a very lovely baby. I n the morning, we did workbooks and played academic to keep their studies spark. In the afternoons we could have play time. In the sleeping time I used to tell her fairy tales which she like most. And second family I worked for was Mr. Min Maharjan’s family for 11 months. I had to look after baby that was one year old. As they have their family business they didn’t have time too look after the baby so my responsibility was to look after baby, helping with the children to feed them preparing meals for the baby cleaning baby’s room. I really enjoy this job because I love caring for the children. I have also worked as a primary teacher in 2005-2007 in Kamana higher secondary boarding school for 1 year. I simply adore teaching playing with them learning from all people, especially children. Teaching period was the best experience in my life. I believe that all children are like clay which is there to be molded with gentleness and care. I always planned activities, which would boost the baby’s confidence and creativity. I always planned activities, which would boost the baby’s confidence and creativity. The most rewarding part of my career as a teacher is to work with a student one on one and to witness the moment that he or she finally grasps the essence of a new idea. Sharing that moment, however brief and no matter how deep the subject matter always bust my enthusiasm and continues to provide the motivation necessary hours or preparation and grading. I do my best to respect and are my students as individuals and to treat them fairly with an open discussion of grading. It is important to have this basis for learning since respect for others seems to have diminished in society.I was involved in NGO called Kathmandu 2020 since June 1 st 2005 to July 2006 I had worked as a volunteer in Youth Leadership Development programs and heritage walk. I am a very fun loving girl and I love to travel, read novels listen to music, taking pictures dancing and playing sports. I am social, flexible organized tidy and polite, very open to new things will common sense. I like communicating with people; I have no problem in adapting to any situation and ability to a assimilation new knowledge. I like to socialize and also enjoy a close family. I enjoy cooking healthy meals for children and my new favorite activities to do with children include singing, acting children plays and reading stories.I have decided to be an au pair in America because I hope it can improve my English and my career. I would also like to meet new friends, get to know America and its culture and to be more responsible and independent. I think this is the idea; way because I like children and I am used to looking after them and another reason is that I would really like to know other families, discover new things I want to give the best of me and all my knowledge because I believe life is a never ending experience and I want to earn ,pre and give to other something special.
Divya Maharjan

Letter to Host Family
Dear host family,
Greetings, first of all let me introduce myself. I am Laxmi Mainali, a sound girl of age 20 from Kathmandu, Nepal. As per my qualification, I had completed my higher secondary level in the year 2006 and at the present time, running Bachelors level at Tri-Chandra Multiple campus. To describe myself, I am a hardworking confident dedicated girl with a loving adoring and caring nature. My biggest strength is my smile and can make everyone glad around me. I am a non-vegetarian, non smoker, non alcoholic. Traveling and visiting new places, hiking snow bathing comes under my favorites. I love to be with children and more than a hobby, it’s a passion for me. And more, I love music and enjoy it.After being introduced to myself, now I want to make you known something about my family. We are five members and I take it as a pleasant family. My father is a businessman and mother, a good housewife. Sometimes she also helps father in his work. My younger brother, Govinda, is at the end of his higher secondary level and Krishna, at grade VIII student of a private school. We all members re so friendly and open to each other. My parents act as a pal and they are our inspire. Their love and care towards us is unlimited. In my family we respect each others feelings. My both brothers are talented. One of my brothers is perfect in general knowledge and the other is a good footballer. Among us, I am the eldest one so I have much more responsibilities towards all of them. Also I am eager to do and fulfill it.Dear family, truly speaking, I have got a lot of experience as a caretaker. I am also working as a home tutor for the children. I started giving tuition after my school level and caretaker at the same time. Before this I used to collect the children of my home area and guide them. I used to look and care after my brothers when they were not young enough since my parents used to be out for their work. It was all because of my caring and loving attitude towards children. Though I was in my school level and age was not big enough but I had got a maturity in my behavior and still I have got it. So, I am renowned for such work and behavior in my home area. After my school life, I worked as a caretaker in a Muslim family. Though I was from Hindu family but I felt comfort and loved to be with them. Saman was just one year old when I was there for her. And her brother, Irfaan was a class II student. I also gave him tuition. I worked there for 15 months. After that, I was appointed Ina Shresth family. There I worked as a caregiver for 11 month child. Side by side, I gave class for 5 years old Asmita Sharma. When I was with her for first time, she was very shy and a dull minded child. But being with me, she got a positive change. Now she has grown up into frank, lovely, talented girl and I am always thankful from her parents. Now I am involved to a Khanal family. I have started here before six months. Mokchhya, a 18 months old child is so cute and lovely. Her innocence smile gladness my heart so very much. I regard children not only a gift from god but they are good for me. So I am proud of being a caretaker.Dreams come true; it is being applied in my life. Dear family, it’s all because of the Au pair Foundation held in us. To my knowledge, through such programs I will get precious opportunity to have close look to the American culture, language and lifestyle and hare it too. I have also a strong belief that such programs help to tighten the ward and strong relation among the people of different religion and culture. America a multi-ethic country, is also the most developed country. Here, we have different people, with different culture and languages. So this program has acted as a platform to introduce Nepal among all. Though Nepal is a small Asian country but the natural resources have made it rich and beautiful. The highest peak mountain, Mount Everest, has made Nepal more abundant and fabulous. And I am very much confident that I can make my country renowned to all. I can say so because I am an educated girl and there wont be any problem in language. I am perfect in both spoken and written English and can eaily communicate with Americans. Due to this all, there will not be any problem for me in caring the children of my host family. In a nutshell, if you give me chance to be an au pair for your children. io assure you that you will find me best care giver for your children. and I make you believe that you will never feel any sort of remorse by keeping me in your family. I can be the best au pair for your children.I am keen to hear you so waiting for your call.
Mainali Laxmi

Letter to Host Family
Dear host parents,
In regards to the au pair program, I, Smita Shrestha (a Nepal citizen) feel proud for getting an opportunity to be part of the program.Currently working in a reputed company in Nepal, I am 24 years old beautiful, young girl with sound health. My hobbies are to visit new places and I mostly enjoy listening to music, dancing playing and signing. I am applying to work as an au pair because I will get a chance to care for a child from different culture, and side by side I will be experiencing a new culture, tradition lifestyle and travel too. It was my interest since childhood to work for children and this program is the right opportunity for me to participate in. I have a family of members which include – mother, two brothers, two sisters one sister in law, two nephews and I. I am the youngest among the siblings. All of my family members are very dedicated and honest.Talking about my interest in children, I truly think they are a precious gift from god. They must be treated with proper care and love. They need to be in good hands who can shape them in the right way. Every parent has delicate feelings for their children and I feel happy to say I understand them well and respect such feelings. Most valuable qualities of myself is frankness, caring, loving, cheerfulness honesty but the most important is that I am confident and sure that I can get along with children very fast and very well. The reason why I want to be an au pair is to experience life of the USA at first hand and take part in family activities. The best way to get to know the culture of a county is by living there. I want to have new experiences, want to be independent and self confident; I wish that one day I could make friends from around the world.A caregiver supports your whole family when she cares for your child. When you know that your chills is in a safe and happy environment, care for by someone who understands children and their feelings, one stress in your life is relived and you whole family works better. When parents, child care provider and child have a tight relationship with each other they make a strong team. I enjoy the relationship with me family of the children in my care. I feel love and affection for them. I genuinely care about them.We all our kids their cues, moods and what kind of discipline works best for them. A care giver needs a broader understanding of development and temperament. She needs a repertoire of discipline methods because of no one method works for all kids.Young child needs lost of opportunity to explore freely in a supportive environment. At last but not lease if you give me the opportunity I assure you that I’ll b e the best au pair for your children. If you have any further queries please feel free to ask me.I hope to hear from you soon. Looking forward to working with you
Yours sincerely,
Smita Shrestha

Dear Host Family
I am Rabina Thapa, 24 from Gyaneshwor Kathmandu Nepal.I have completed my Bachelor level in management from Dillibazar Kanya Multiple College in 2006. I am interested to learn new thing to meet new places, persons and want to know different cultures a part from me and also be their fellow about their lifestyle, culture. My zest are traveling new places reading novels, helping poor disable people and dancing as well. I use to take part in different social program at my school days .Social work comes on the top when I should say about my hobby.Regarding my family, I have two brothers. My father works at a Government Office. Since the beginning my mother, she is a perfect homemaker. Their desire to make me a good and remarkable person. They are supportive and helpful in all of my decisions. I’d like to assure you that I can easily adjust in American society and culture. I’m loving and kind. I like pets too.Everyone known that the US is one of the most advance countries in the world. Similarly English language is the mother tongue of America. The American style of living has greater influence all over the world by means of this au pair program, I’d like to experience American culture, language, style of living by sitting in the American family taking care of the children. The most striking point that motivates me to work as an au pair in the United States is my interest and love towards the children. I want to work for them.Kids are born of the nature and delicate that’s why I love them so much .Innocence is the most charming part of children in my belief and I simply love that .I believe children are the sweetest gift of god and they are very innocent. They will learn what we teach them so we have to give more attention in childhood. As far as I know children will be good and intelligent if only they are given good facilities good care hygienic diet and clear environment, lots of entertainment and good learning and disciplined family environment etc.I have got an experience of home management too. I have worked in Mr. Dil Kumar Rana’s house. He is one of the very good Tour Leader and his wife runs a boutique. There my duties were to drop and pick up them from School everyday. Cook food for them and to take care of their two child namely Manisha of 6 and Manish of 3 years old. They treat me as their own daughter and those two children also love me very much and I love them too.Another remarkable homely experience I had was in my relatives home. My mother’s sister, my aunt and uncle they both are very busy at their own work. My aunt she works in one of the leading NGO in Nepal. Most of the time she has to be out of valley. My uncle he works in Government Office. They have one small son. I was the one to take care of the child since from the day he was born, due to the busy schedule of my uncle and aunt. I had to look after him in everything from changing disappears to giving him milk in time and bath him. He is so use to me that even today I have to be with him while eating and sleeping time, it is very hard to work with such small baby but working as an au pair in fact become very enjoyable job.I can easily adjust with everyone. I know English language easy for me to care American child and to communicate with babies and my host family. If you give me an opportunity to work after your child I will grateful to you. I assure you that I’d work so as to make fully satisfied with my work. I am confident that your beloved baby will be happy with me and I can be good au pair for your kids and a good extended family member to you.
I am enthusiastically waiting to hear a positive response from you soon.
Your truly
Rabina
